We strongly recommend that you start looking for a place to live, as early as possible. Our experience is that the situation can be quite chaotic when everybody arrives in Trondheim at the same time in August. But, no need to despair! We can assure you that you will find a place to live and if you haven't found a place before you come to Trondheim you can always check in at Roof Over Your Head for temporary accommodation (dormitories) for the first few weeks. Our experience is that everybody finds suitable accommodation - it may take a little time and it certainly takes a little effort, but everybody finds a place to live!

For potential landlords

SiT can't provide housing to all students in Trondheim. We are therefore dependent on Trondheim's citizens and their contributions to meet the demands for student housing. We want to help potential landlords by making it easier to rent out to students. We also want to get in contact with persons who'd like to assist by providing rooms in their home for an international student.
