The Love Guarantee known across the world

Trondheim got noticed in media across the world for the Love Guarantee Campaign. As the only city in the world, Trondheim promises new students they'll find a loved one at least once during their studies.

Hilde Skeie at The Office of international relations at NTNU was attending a study tour with several other delegates from Norwegian research and education institutions when a Chinese representative at the Norwegian Embassy read the news on the Love Guarantee in the Beijing press.

- They took the guarantee quite serious and wondered what we would do if we couldn`t fulfill the guarantee, Hilde says, surprised that the campaign by StudiebyEN had gotten all across the world to China.

StudiebyEN-manager Tove-Lill Karlsen was also surprised by this news, thinking she had run a campaign directed at potential students in Norway. A quick search at the Internet however, shows that the Love Guarantee in Trondheim has been mentioned in the news media both in France, Spain, England, Rumania, Japan and Iceland.

- I never imagined that this guarantee would be known all across the world. When someone from the French press called me, I first thought it was some kind of joke, says Tove-Lill.

-But of course, it`s fun to be noticed for our Love Guarantee, she adds.
