In 2004 we launched a new campaign with a Love Guarantee, promising students that given some personal effort, they would meet that special someone during their time in Trondheim. But this guarantee was also interpreted as misleading advertising and a complaint was delivered to the Consumer Ombudsmann (CO).

The reply from the CO was as creative as the guarantee itself: The CO rejected the complaint in lyrical terms, writing a poem on the Love Guarantee and the complainer’s need to do some personal effort as well in order for the guarantee to be fulfilled.

The mislead student still not satisfied, appealed to the Market Council, the superior council of market regulation. Market Council agreed fully with the CO and acquitted StudiebyEN`s campaign. The Love Guarantee still stands, as long as you too make some effort to collect your claims.
