Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) was founded in 1996. It is the second largest university in Norway with approximately 20 000 students. NTNU is Norway's primary institution for educating the nations future engineers and scientists. The university also has strong programmes in the social sciences, teacher education, the arts and humanities, medicine, architecture and fine art. NTNU is located at eleven different campuses across Trondheim, with Gløshaugen and Dragvoll being the main campuses.
