All summer three students will work to help new Trondheim students find a safe and nice place to live. We'll answer questions, help with tips and advice, and can attend apartment showings for you if you are unable to come to Trondheim yourself.

Our goal is that all students in Trondheim will find a safe and nice place to live!

Tips and advice

Before we are able to help you it is important that you have already done some research into the housing market and looked for a place to live. Here are some tips and advice to get you started.

If you have any questions you can contact us. We are ready to help you, and available through e-mail, phone and you can also visit our office at Gløshaugen. We will also be available through StudiebyEN's chat from the 18th of July.

Apartment showings

If you have found an apartment you are interested in, but are unable to attend the showing, we can attend on your behalf. First you need to:

1. Find the apartment you are interested in.

2. Contact the lessor and ask if Studentbolighjelpa (housing assistance for students) can attend on your behalf.

3. Fill in this form requesting our attendance to the apartment showing.

One of us will then contact you as soon as possible. We are normally available Mon.-Fri. from 08.00-19.30, and Sat. 08.00-15.30.

The organization for student services - SiT - has around 3000 rooms spread around several different student cities. These rooms and apartments are reserved for students. Here you can find information about available rooms and application forms.

Many students find housing through the private market. There are four steps to finding a place to live. Together with out collaborating partners we hope to help you through these steps:

1. Look for a place to live
2. Look at the apartment
3. Sign a tenancy agreement
   
4. Move in

Dersom du har funnet en bolig du er interessert i  ikke er i byen og har problemer med å komme deg på visning kan vi hjelpe. Du må selv ta kontakt med utleier og avtale at vi skal komme på visning på dine vegne. Deretter tar du kontakt med oss gjennom skjemaet under. Vi vil ta kontakt med deg i forkant av visningen i tillegg til å snakke med huseier og avtale tidspunkt.

Sjansen for å få bolig på åpne visninger når du ikke selv er tilstede er liten, så vi går vanligvis bare på visninger der du har en personlig avtale om visning med utleier.
