SiT (Studentsamskipnaden – the student welfare organization) offers a wide range of services regarding health and welfare. These services are provided to give you a healthy and sound student time in Trondheim. SiT’s Health Refund is an offer for you whom suffer large medical bills while you study. This service is provided to all students affiliated with SiT through the semester fee. Click here for further information on the refund terms. Gløshaugen Medical Centre has a long experience with students and is therefore experts on matters related to young people. Gløshaugen Medical Centre is part of Norway’s permanent doctor scheme. Once international students are registered in Norway, they automatically will receive information about the permanent doctor scheme from the Social Security Office. Click here for further information. SiT Health Station is a free “drop in”- based health station every Wednesday from 16.00 to 19.00 at the Gløshaugen Medical Centre. Here you will find both nurses two nurses and a doctor. For more information on the Health Station, click here. Nurse on campus is available for consultations if you need advice or simply just someone to talk to. SiT has hired two nurses, and everything you say will be confidential. To get to know more about the nurse service and when they are available on your campus, click here. SiT Mental Health is providing counseling and psychological services and you do not need any referral from your doctor to use this service. You are guaranteed a registration consultation within two weeks from your first contact with the Health Service. For more information, click here.
